The Wee Warriors Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families in New Mexico with medically fragile babies. Our mission is to provide funds, services, and resources to these families and the local entities that offer them assistance. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of this vulnerable population and their loved ones and strive to enhance better outcomes throughout our great state.
What is a Wee Warrior? Any baby born very premature, and/or with a serious medical condition or diagnosis, and/or a syndrome that might deem the baby to be medically fragile.
At Wee Warriors Project, we offer NICU Support Boxes to NM families, that qualify, that provide information, supplies, and helpful necessities to support Mom and baby.
We raise money to support growing rural NM hospitals that are wanting to add or upgrade services to special care nurseries or level II NICUs that have made it their mission to better support medically fragile babies.
2024 was the first year we were able to offer small scholarships. We like to fund certain CEUs, Certifications for CLCs and IBCLCs, and are looking forward to college level supports in the future that would support professions that will be helpful to NICU babies and Pediatric Therapies.
